The AC-40 is Joyo's newest addition to it's ever expanding range of Acoustic products and is a Buskers Dream Amp thanks to all the built in effects and the amount of power on tap! Using the feedback we received from the AC-20 Acoustic Amp we began working on the AC-40. Some of the most popular requests we got were for more power and a built in battery. The AC-40 delivers a very respectable 40 Watts which is more than loud enough to play small gigs with if needed. We also added a built in battery so that you can charge the amp and use it for any busking sessions or even just so you can play without being plugged into the mains. The battery when fully charged will provide you with a full 3 hours of playing time, more than enough for a good busking session! We also decided to upgrade the speakers from a pair of 5 inch speakers to a pair of 6.5 inch speakers. This lets the AC-40 easily handle the 40 Watts of power and also provide enough projection for live playing. The guitar channel has it's own dedicated three band eq of treble, middle & bass along with it's own volume control. You then also get the added bonus of having controls for the built in Chorus, Delay & Reverb. Combining all these controls gives you a huge amount of control over your tone going from the most basic and stripped back acoustic tones to huge ethereal ones can be achieved in seconds. The microphone channel has it's own volume control and it's own dedicated reverb control separate from the guitar channels effects. This lets you easily be heard over the guitar and adds some great reverb to your vocals.

PRODUCT INFORMATION

The main difference between cutaway and non-cutaway guitars is in their body shape. Cutaway guitars have a section removed from the body, making it easier to access higher frets, which is great for lead playing. However, this design can slightly reduce resonance and volume. Non-cutaway guitars retain a full body shape, which often produces a fuller, richer sound due to the increased wood mass. While they may be harder to play in the higher fret range, they offer better tonal quality. Choosing between the two depends on your playing style and whether you prioritize accessibility or sound quality.

GENERAL FAQs

Yes, transacoustic guitars tend to be more expensive than regular acoustic guitars. The additional technology that allows them to produce effects without external equipment increases the cost. However, prices vary depending on the brand, model, and features offered.
